 A little footnote to the recent Saxon stories, vintage jacket picked up via eBay. Excellent condition dark blue baggy style - for a tenner.

Blue Monday Deciphered

 Cult classic picked up yesterday in Durham. Blue Monday's sleeve, die cut floppy disc style designed by Peter Saville, was that expensive to produce Factory Records lost 5p on every record sold. They weren't bothered as they didn't think it would shift that many. It went on to sell approx 1.5 million copies.

The sleeve itself featured no words or labels (bar Factory Record 73 down spine) and the colour coded shapes down the side had to be deciphered using a guide on the Power Corruption & Lies album...

 Adsum of NYC had an archive sale fairly recently. Jackets with ridiculous RRPs went for peanuts - even with the overpriced shipping from the states left us quids in. Picked up a Spinner jacket which is the lightest, thinnest and summeresque coat I've ever purchased...

Garbstore Langdale Parka

Picked up this Ian Paley designed bit of Garbstore from eBay for just over thirty beans. Used to have it in khaki but it always appeared a bit washed out, despite the random navy pocket. The purple version offers something a little different, if only the same detail but in a very fruity colourway...
